Evangelical Reformed Seminary of Ukraine
The Church is Growing in Ukraine! Her great need is for Pastors and Church Planters, so it is urgent to train such men for the Reformed & Presbyterian churches in Ukraine. We also train leaders of other backgrounds, extending the Reformed and covenantal worldview to other denominations and nations. We seek to develop a pastoral character in our students, applying the Word daily to their personal lives and to the flock. We promote growth in their knowing, being, and doing: growth in academics, spiritual life, and hands-on ministry skills.
Our method:
By leaving our students in their home setting with ministry opportunities and mentoring, our students rapidly integrate their studies and life.
* Intensive study in Kiev 8 weeks/year (D.Min. model)
* 20 hours academics per week, plus actual church ministry
* Focus on Missions
* Ukrainian-owned and led; instruction in Russian & Ukrainian
* Qualified Professors from seminaries in W. Europe, Ukraine, USA and Canada
* An indigenous ministry, responsible to the Presbytery and Synod of the Ukrainian churches
What We Believe
The Evangelical Reformed Seminary of Ukraine holds to the Westminster Standards and the three Forms of Unity. Among other doctrines, this includes:
* The Scriptures are the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God -- the supreme rule of life and faith.
* Man is born in sin, and the wrath of God rests on him.
* Salvation is in Christ alone, through His atoning death on the cross; man is saved through faith alone -- the gift of God worked in him through the Holy Spirit by the preaching of the Word.
* Man, redeemed in Christ, is to live a life of thanksgiving in covenant obedience as a child of God and servant of the King, Jesus Christ!
Financial Aid
Ukrainian churches who send us their students are poor, but they take an active part in student support. We need SPONSORS to supplement this, to provide minimal student support as they study and serve (about $400/mo.).
Long-Term Stability
It is our objective to be Ukrainian owned and led. While our professors are drawn from various Reformed seminaries in the U.S., Holland, Canada, and Scotland, local missionaries and Ukrainian resources are used as much as possible. We are RECRUITING!
